Dr. Rivera’s mission has been to provide the best dental care to her patients. The only way to do this is by staying current with the newest materials, techniques and equipment in the field.
Dr. Rivera earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Inter-American University. She continued on to Marquette University School of Dentistry and received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery, graduating in 1992, she then joined the Army and served as a dentist until 1996.
In 2003, Dr. Rivera completed a certification in Orthodontics from the prestigious Force Institute, Michigan. She has since developed an interest in aesthetic medicine and anti-aging medicine.
Dr. Rivera has received intensive training in aesthetic medicine at:
• The American Association of Aesthetic medicine and Surgery, Beverly Hill, California
• The Bob Khanna Traiining Institute, Reading England
• Aesthetics Skin Institute, Fort Lauderdale, Florida
She has been certified in cosmetic Botox® injections, dermal fillers, and facial sculpting, as well as threads, chemical peels, dermal peels and medical grade skin care.
In 2021, Dr. Rivera completed a Post Doctoral degree in Expert Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery in Barcelona, Spain.
Technology is rapidly changing, and in order to take advantage of these new benefits, Dr. Rivera takes numerous continuing education classes, and attends conferences and seminars. Astrid Rivera is also a member of several professional organizations, and maintains a number of professional affiliations in order to provide the most up-to-date quality. She remains informed of all the latest technologies in order to enhance her proficiency in the art of cosmetic injectables and Aesthetic Medicine.
